A TALK “WRITING FOR PROFIT & PLEASURE”

Wednesday 8th OCTOBER, 7.30 pm

AUTUMN FORAY – SUNDAY 26TH OCTOBER, 2 pm

 

By popular demand, Jonathan Simons and Penny Bullen have kindly agreed to lead a Walk in search of Edible Fungi in the copses of Nuthurst. We will meet at The Black Horse at 1400 hours (Please remember this is the day that the clocks go back!) and end up around a frying pan, close by. Further details from Derek Bradnum on 891181

 

BONFIRE & FIREWORKS – SATURDAY 1ST NOVEMBER

 

Fine weather has been ordered for this popular event, again at Copsale Road entrance to Maplehurst Farm. Guy Competition judging at 5.45 pm, Lighting Bonfire at 6 pm and Fireworks at 6.15 pm. Hot food & refreshments will be available, including Fiona’s legendary Mulled Wine. Entry by donation on the gate, suggested at £2.00 per head, to offset the large expenses associated with this star-studded evening! Members and friends will be welcome. CHRISTMAS PARTY at MICKLEPAGE BARN

SATURDAY 13TH DECEMBER, 7.30 pm

 

The well proven formula of a Pot-Luck Supper Party will be the social highlight of the year in Nuthurst. There will be a licensed bar and even more of Fiona’s legendary Mulled Wine! Tickets are limited in number and restricted to adult Nuthurst Society members, at £4.00 each in advance. These will be available from Dorothy Hatfield on 891592 or Derek Bradnum on 891181. Please reserve early to avoid disappointment.

 

FATHER CHRISTMAS VISITS THE HAMLETS

SUNDAY 21ST DECEMBER, start 4.30 pm
